Russian cartoon is successfully in the UAE box office

Cartoon of Voronezh animators successfully goes to the cinema rental in the UAE

The cartoon "Wolves and Sheeps" of Voronezh animators for the first week of rental in theaters of the United Arab Emirates raised 75 thousand US dollars. In the Emirate box office, it goes under the name Sheep & Wolves in the cinemas of the Novo Cinemas and VOX Cinemas networks.

"The cartoon screening started simultaneously in Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Mongolia, Turkey and Romania. Almost all of Europe will see it next," said Yuri Moskvin, producer of the film and CEO of Wizart Studio. He emphasized that, thanks to the Snow Queen franchise, the studio has already established contacts with movie rental companies around the world.

Since the beginning of September, the cartoon has been shown in Slovakia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Croatia. In the near future, "Volkov and Sheep" will also be shown in Spain, Bulgaria and Poland and other countries. By the way, in Bulgaria for the very first weekend the creation of Voronezh animators took third place at the box office after Miss Peregrine's House of Strange Children (FOX) and the cartoon Storks (Warner Brothers).

According to Yuri Moskvin, success at the box office was achieved thanks to advertising in the international fast food chain KFC. "At KFC, sales of children's menus and collections of glasses with cartoon characters started. Unusual and original solutions for promoting the cartoon do not always have to be expensive - our partners' marketing budget did not imply serious costs for direct advertising," Yuri Moskvin said.

The film with a budget of 230 million rubles was created immediately in Russian and English. Although the production center is located in Voronezh, specialists from New Zealand, India, and the USA participated in the film. The music for the film was written by a French composer. Sound was recorded by teams from New Zealand and Scotland. In total, about 200 people were involved in the production.
