On the participation of the Russian embassy in the charity event "Little World" in support of children

March 31, 2011 in Abu Dhabi in the Emirates Palace Hotel (Emirates Palace) was held a charity event "Small World" under the auspices of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the UAE, Sheikh Nahayyan Mubarak Al Nahyan.

Its main goal was to support and raise funds for needy children around the world.

The event was attended by 28 embassies accredited in the country, as well as a number of large local companies. In the "national pavilions" they represented, everyone who came to support the children could taste the food and drinks of each country, get acquainted with souvenir products and country-specific information.

Notable was Russian participation. In our pavilion everyone was treated to pies, bagels, sweets and tea from a samovar. Of particular interest to visitors was the opportunity to "live" to get acquainted with samples of traditional Russian outfits.

At a meeting during the event with Russian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Andrei Vladimirovich Andreev, Sheikh Nakhayyan expressed appreciation for the contribution made by the Russian embassy to the success of this charity event. Part of the funds from it will be directed to the Russian Give Life charity fund, led by Chulpan Khamatova and Dina Korzun.

The evening ended with a firework and a big concert, in which the dance group Action Dance Studio ("Action Dance Studio"), organized by a Russian compatriot from Dubai, took part.

The Russian Embassy in the UAE thanks for the help in participating in the Little World charity event for Russian students studying at New York University in Abu Dhabi, as well as Yevgeny Morozov, the Dance Dance Studio dance group and the Sharjah Russian bakery.
