The first Arab humanoid robot leaves Dubai for Riyadh

The first Arab humanoid robot, created in the UAE, successfully completed its first and almost independent flight by plane, traveling from Dubai to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, to participate in a scientific conference.

A humanoid robot named Ibn Sina, one of the most advanced robots in the world, was created by a group of professors and students of the University College of Information Technology of the UAE State University in Al Ain. On his first flight by the Dubai-based Emirates airline, he went with his "father", Dr. Nicholas Mavridis. Ibn Sina, able to interact fairly freely with people, including maintaining a conversation, attracted widespread attention already at the airport, where he independently checked in for an EK817 flight to Riyadh and spent time usefully in the waiting room for first-class passengers.

Ibn Sina flew to the capital of Saudi Arabia first class and actively communicated with passengers all the way. Arriving safely in Riyadh, the robot passed customs control and went to the hotel. The journey of Ibn Sina required a lot of preparation, which involved numerous structures, including the Emirates Group, the police, the administration of the airports of Dubai and Riyadh.

The experiment was considered successful, and soon Ibn Sina will set off on a new journey.
