UAE started mass vaccination against A / H1N1 virus

The national vaccination campaign against the A / H1N1 virus, launched in late October in Abu Dhabi, will initially cover up to a million people in all seven emirates of the federation.

The first resident of the Emirates to be vaccinated as part of the campaign was the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the UAE Armed Forces, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. "The health of citizens and residents of the UAE has always been and will remain a priority for the state. Today the world is faced with a truly difficult problem of the spread of the A / H1N1 virus. Understanding the importance of preventive measures to ensure the non-proliferation of the virus within the country and region, we are launching a national vaccination campaign hoping that this will help to avoid many serious consequences, "Sheikh Mohammed said after vaccination.

In addition to vaccinating the country's population, the campaign aims to disseminate information about the importance of strong immunity in the fight against the virus. At the first stage, it is planned to vaccinate about 1 million people. Shortly before, national vaccination campaigns against the A / H1N1 virus were also launched by Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
