She became known as Ani Lorak (real name Carolina) in March 1995. The singer was born in the city of Kitsman, Chernivtsi region of Ukraine, the desire to sing from the stage the girl appeared in four years. I had to come up with a nickname when she took part in the competition of the Moscow television program "Morning Star". In this competition, a Russian singer was already announced under the name of Karolina, so the Ukrainian participant had to get out of this situation by reading her name on the contrary. So the nickname appeared - Ani Lorak.
At 19, she received the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine, thereby becoming the youngest singer of those who ever received him. The owner of a huge number of awards, four “Golden discs” according to the results of the sales of the albums “There, de є є ...”, “Ani Lorak”, “Smile”, “Blossom ...”, the winner of prestigious international and Ukrainian festivals and ratings, including television the Morning Star contest (Moscow, 1996), and the winner of the Grand Prix of the World Big Apple Music Competition for Young Performers - 96 (New York). Ani Lorak was repeatedly recognized as "Singer of the Year" in Ukraine. She performed on the stages of England, Germany, France, Hungary, USA, Turkey. There are ten albums in her archive, one single, a biographical video, 24 video clips. One of the last achievements of the singer was the second place in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song Shady Lady, which was produced by Philip Kirkorov. According to many respected musicians, Ani Lorak's performance was the best in this competition, but fate decreed otherwise, which did not prevent the entire European press from awarding her the title of Queen of Eurovision.
And now all fans of this young, charming and talented singer have the opportunity to hear her live in concert performances on November 2 and 3, 2008, which will be held as part of the traditional "Russian Evenings" at the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai. The organizers of the concerts are Total Concepts and the most luxurious hotel in the world - Burj Al Arab, which have more than once pleased the Dubai audience with performances by such famous artists and bands as Mikhail Shufutinsky, Valery Meladze, A-Studio, Vladimir Spivakov and the Virtuosi Orchestra Moscow.
