Where does childhood go ...

On May 25, in all Russian schools, the last bell rang for graduate students ... We came to the end of the lesson, ahead - final exams and university entrance. And many graduates on the very day of the last call recalled their friends who had once left with their parents in the United Arab Emirates. Where are they now? What happened to them? And the guys who graduated from one of the Russian private schools in Dubai or Sharjah on that day recalled their former classmates from various cities of Russia and the CIS countries.

According to a long-established tradition, the prom at the private Russian school of Sharjah was held on May 25 at the Carlton Hotel. The evening was attended by the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Dubai and the Northern Emirates Sergey Krasnogor with his wife, abbot of the Russian Orthodox community in the UAE, Father Superior Alexander Zerkeshev, numerous guests, parents and friends of graduates, media representatives.

In a festive atmosphere, the school principal Elena Mikhailovna Kurlykova and the Consul General of Russia Sergey Alekseevich Krasnogor handed the students certificates of complete secondary education. Parting words sounded to the graduates, there were many flowers, beautiful dresses, tears and smiles. Matured and a little sad 11th graders said goodbye to their school.

Dubai's Russian private school held two holidays for its graduates - The Last Bell on May 27, 2008 and the graduation evening that passed after passing the final exams on June 7. On the occasion of the "Last Call", which was held at the Sharjah Grand Hotel, the graduate girls came in snow-white aprons and luxurious white bows, and the few graduate boys in formal suits. Children from the Russian school in Dubai also came to congratulate the Consul General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates Sergey Krasnogor with his wife, Consul General of the Russian Consulate in Dubai Igor Tsarikov with his wife, school teachers, parents and many friends.

Many kind words were said to the graduates. They were congratulated on their graduation and first-graders, and teachers, and parents, and tenth graders, who now remain at school "for seniors." And then there were songs, dances, poems and, of course, a waltz ...

... With the sounds of a waltz, the very last school graduation ball of the Dubai Russian school began. Teachers, graduates, parents circled in the dance ... Girls' ball gowns were amazing and beautiful. The boys looked like young knights, and their young mothers looked more like older sisters.

Strictly and solemnly, the director of the school, Halikova Marina Borisovna, presented to girls and boys certificates of secondary education, diplomas and certificates of appreciation for their excellent studies, good behavior and active participation in the life of the school. In an improvised concert with good jokes, favorite songs, incendiary "Lezginka" and fun contests all the guests of the evening took part. The holiday was family-friendly, sad and cheerful at the same time.

... And late at night a garland of balloons was released into the dark Dubai sky, to which graduates of 2008 attached notes with their most cherished childhood desires. A warm east wind took them to where childhood goes ... Good luck to you guys. Let everything work out for you!
