"LoLa and I." that’s exactly what the name of this new store, recently appeared in Dubai at the Palm StriP shopping center in Jumeirah, sounds in French. young women of fashion and beauty are dressed here, imagined and flirts, or, in other words, girls aged 6 months to 10 years.
By the way, it is unlikely that today we would be able to happily buy this bright, beautiful, comfortable and, what is very important, fashionable clothes for our daughters, if not for a few "ifs." For example, nothing would have happened if the designer Rania Tome had not given birth to two twin girls four years ago - Lola and Rio, who, in general, became the source of her inspiration, gave a name to the new brand and allowed her mother to boldly declare herself in the world fashion market. And Dubai would not have been able to get acquainted with the new "children's" brand if the owner of the Dubai boutique, Azim Al Oveis, had not gone with his family to rest in Lebanon ...
We are talking with Azim Al Oweis in his boutique. It is very cute and childishly cozy, bright, elegant. The surroundings with miniature sofas, cheerful applications on pillows and rag flowers in tin buckets set the appropriate tone for our conversation.
- Azim, how did it occur to you to open a "girl" boutique?
“After all, it was not so profitable from the beginning as a store of adult fashionable clothes ... You know, it all started when my family and I went on vacation to Lebanon.” There I first went to the Lola et moi store and was simply fascinated. I realized that any girl would be happy to wear such bright clothes and original accessories, because her parents would be happy to buy all this. The charm of the brand created by Rania Tome, in my opinion, is that her clothes are really children's clothes, and not copies of adult fashionable outfits of reduced sizes, as many other brands present today.
- Have you acquired the rights to use the brand in Dubai?
- I opened in Dubai franchise brand Lola et moi. My Dubai boutique is exactly the same in interior design and decoration as other stores of the Lola et moi chain, which there are not so many in the world. They are in France and America, and now in Dubai. Here, tiles on the floor are laid out in the same way, and exactly the same wallpaper adorns the walls. The company's designers came to Dubai so that everything here corresponded to the general concept of the brand. As you can see, we succeeded.
- What was the main incentive to introduce this brand in Dubai?
“You will laugh, but there was no particular incentive, I just thought that upon returning from vacation I would need to get a bunch of gifts for all my many nieces.” And I decided that it would be easier to open a new store in Dubai for them and other young women of fashion than to bring several suitcases with dresses from abroad. Thus, I think I managed to save many parents and immediate relatives of young girls from the eternal problem - what to bring as a gift.
The boutique Lola et moi presents bright and cheerful collections of clothes and accessories for girls. Dominant colors are pink, blue, shade of green apple, yellow, red, blue. True, without exception, the girls first pull their moms and dads to the hangers with pink things. This color is most liked by all girls. Probably all of them feel like Barbie dolls or fairy-tale princesses. Yes, yes it is ...
- How often do collections change in your boutique?
The main collections, as well as in adult stores, are fall-winter and spring-summer. True, the autumn-winter collection that we have today is very large and diverse, so we post its elements one at a time. And it seems that the store all the time there is something new. For example, we plan to hang warmed jackets and coats in the trading floor by November, when the weather gets cooler. The same applies to warm hats, scarves, gloves. After all, our customers are not only residents of the Emirates and neighboring countries, but also Europeans, and Russians, and Americans. And in the northern countries, autumn is pretty cool. That is why the best natural fabrics were used in this collection - soft lightweight felt, delicate cashmere, velveteen of the brightest and most joyful colors. The same can be said about the future spring-summer collection. Be sure that you will find many surprises.
- Are there many Russians among your customers?
- It’s hard to say, because the store opened recently. But those who come in apparently live in the nearby Dubai Marine Beach Resort. And believe me, not a single buyer, including from Russia and the CIS, has left us without a purchase. Still, the collections of Lola et moi are made with such love that they delight the hearts of all parents, regardless of nationality.
- We know that when you open a boutique, you immediately announced a charity program. Tell us more about it.
- The fact is that the Lola et moi boutique was opened on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan for all Muslims, the essence of which is piety and the desire to share with others. I am sure that we all must to some extent support the society that has nurtured us. Therefore, the boutique Lola et moi throughout the ramadan transferred 15% of its sales to the needs of the Dubai Autism Center. This center does a lot for the socialization of children with autism. It was the work of the specialists of this center that influenced our final choice - where to send charitable funds.
- Do you plan to open similar stores in other shopping centers in Dubai?
- For now, I am thinking of limiting myself to one boutique. But this does not mean at all that we are not going to grow in the future. In addition to opening new stores, there are many more ways to attract buyers to your products. For example, we are going to present separate collections of Lola et moi for mothers who will be like the outfits of their daughters. The same pink, blue, yellow colors. The same optimism and youth. After all, it is no secret that all the girls want to look "like mom." We will help the little ones in this by dressing their mothers accordingly. In general, Lola et moi is a real children's world, with its surprises and rules. Hurry to meet him. It will be interesting, I promise.
