Intercsec 2007 showcases new security products

The largest exhibition and conference in the region for commercial security, police, fire and medical rapid response services, state security systems Intersec 2007, held earlier this year in Dubai, attracted thousands of experts from around the world.

The three-day show, housed in the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center, grew by 54% compared to 2006. The exhibition was opened by Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, head of the Dubai Police, in the presence of a huge number of local and foreign dignitaries, including the official delegation of the Thai Ministry of Internal Affairs and representatives of the Royal Thai Police.

The exhibition presented the latest achievements and technologies in the field of fire and general safety, first aid, commercial security systems. More than 600 participants from around the world presented their products and know-how in Dubai in the main thematic categories: border control, anti-terrorism, satellite communications and security systems, police equipment, airport security.

According to the organizers of the exposition, Messe Frankfurt, the exhibition was visited by leading experts from the police department, civil defense forces, municipalities, port and airport administrations, construction and consulting departments from all over the region. Within the framework of the exhibition, a conference was dedicated to security issues in the region. The Dubai Department of Civil Defense held demonstrations of rescue and fire fighting operations involving helicopters whose effectiveness in the city has been proven more than once in practice.
