The number of Russian tourists in Abu Dhabi increased by 3 times

Dubai, UAE. According to statistics from the Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi, the results of 2017 will be the most significant for the emirate of Abu Dhabi for all the time it has been on the Russian market.

According to data from October of this year, the number of Russians visiting the emirate increased by 225% from 2,115 to 6,876 people compared to October 2016, and the number of nights during the same period tripled from 9,488 to 28,710. In 10 months of 2017, the total number of Russian tourists reached 29 524 people, which is 75% more than last year's figures for January-October. The final number of nights for this period of time this year was 141,625 (+ 69% compared to last year).

A positive trend is observed in other markets. So the tourist flow to Abu Dhabi from Azerbaijan showed an increase of 68% in October and by 25% in January-October; the number of tourists from Georgia in the first 10 months of this year almost doubled (from 1 016 to 1 948 people); indicators in the Baltic countries are actively striving upwards - the number of tourists since the beginning of the year has increased by 48% compared with the figures for 2016 (4,148 tourists from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia from the beginning of the year to October 2017).

Recall that tourists from Russia and the CIS countries remain leaders in terms of length of stay in the emirate, which is at least 5 nights.

The Emirate of Abu Dhabi attracts an increasing number of tourists every year thanks to ambitious projects and the comfort of the proposed vacation. It should be noted that this year the city of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, was recognized as the safest city in the world, and last month the Abu Dhabi Louvre museum complex was opened in Abu Dhabi, the significance of which can hardly be overestimated both culturally and social plan. In the near future, Abu Dhabi will continue to delight its tourists: next year, Warner Bros entertainment park will appear on Yas Island, and the famous Saadiyat Island Reserve will be replenished with several more resorts.
