The first IHG resort opens at Al Aqah Beach in the Emirate of Fujairah.
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) opened its first Middle East resort in the Emirate of Fujairah, UAE.
A combination of Arabic motifs and modern design elements was used to create the resort on Al Aqah Beach. It consists of 190 rooms, including 44 Club InterContinental Rooms and 38 apartments.
An additional range of amenities includes a gym, spa, four conference rooms, a meeting room and a ballroom, a family pool, a kids club, a teen club and babysitting services. There is also a Nama Restaurant and Drift Beach Bar, as well as a terrace bar called Horizon.
“This marks an important milestone in our presence in the region,” said Pascal Govin, IHG COO, India, Middle East and Africa, “We are expanding our luxury portfolio to meet the needs of our precious guests, including international ones visitors, residents of the UAE, looking for an opportunity to get out of the daily, hectic routine, as well as a business that needs corporate events and unique meeting places. IHG manages the resort on behalf of the owner of Al Ain Holding.
