The Emirate Embassy in Moscow warns citizens about the danger of snowfall

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Moscow has warned of record snowfall over the past century.

On February 5, 2018, the UAE Embassy in Moscow issued a warning to citizens, according to which they should be especially careful because of the extreme snowfall.

In the event of an emergency, emirates residing or visiting Moscow are advised to immediately contact the UAE Embassy by phone +7 495 234 4060.

Record rainfall in Moscow occurred on Sunday, February 4. The Russian news agency Sputnik reports that snowfalls, similar to those recorded in the capital, occur once every 100 years.

Meteorologists expect the blizzard to continue through Monday.

As a result of the snowfall, hundreds of trees were felled, several people were injured. One dead is also reported.
