Arab Emirates strives to become a leader in the field of artificial intelligence

Residents of the United Arab Emirates will be able to feel in the world from a science fiction work by 2025, the minister promised.

UAE Minister of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Omar bin Sultan al-Olama announced last Saturday that the UAE will focus on accepting AI in three leading sectors, including natural resources, tourism and logistics. He said that the UAE will become world leaders in this area thanks to rapidly developing technologies. He also said that the country will soon accept AI in government.

Al-Olama also promised that the inhabitants of the UAE will be able to feel in the "world of science fiction" by 2025.

On the sidelines of the forum before the World Government Summit, the minister said unmanned vehicles would appear on the UAE’s roads “relatively soon”. According to him, the United Arab Emirates will adopt the relevant legislation "faster than other countries."

“In the future, I think AI will become the most important technology that people have ever created. It is important today, but the potential will be fully unfolded in the near future,” said al-Olama, the first Minister of AI in the world.
