The street in Dubai was renamed in honor of the hero of the war - Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Dubai, UAE. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president, prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, renamed one of the streets in the residential quarter of Dubai, namely Academic City Road, in honor of the war hero - Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Sheikh Zayed, the grandson and namesake of the founder of the UAE, was injured while participating in a military operation in Yemen last August. He returned to his homeland last weekend after treatment in Germany and is currently traveling in a wheelchair.
"An important transport artery, through which thousands of students travel every day, will remind them of the name of one of the young emirates that the nation is really proud of," Sheikh Mohammed wrote on Twitter.
