An agreement on defense cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the United States comes into force.
On May 29, 2019, the UAE and the United States announced the entry into force of the Defense Cooperation Agreement, signed earlier this year.
On the day of the announcement, US National Security Advisor John Bolton paid an official visit to Abu Dhabi.
The agreement will improve defense coordination between the two countries, further strengthening the already strong military, political and economic partnership, the statement said. The agreement will also support the efforts of both countries to maintain security in the Gulf region.
