A rising star in contemporary classical music, South Korean pianist Cho Sung Jin will debut in the Middle East. The winner of the gold medal at the Chopin Pianos Competition gives two concerts as part of the Abu Dhabi Classics season program: one at New York University, the second at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara.
One of the most interesting young pianists of our time, Cho Song Jin has prepared a concert program that accurately reflects his artistic principles: the emotionality and imagery that he takes from his beloved Chopin, and Beethoven's strict performing skills embodied in classical sonata form and its later variations.
Cho Song Jin gained worldwide fame in October 2015 after winning the Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw. Three years earlier, at the age of only 17, he took third place at the Tchaikovsky Competition. Due to his remarkable talent and innate musicality, Cho Song Jin takes one career peak after another and today he is considered one of the most outstanding musicians of his generation.
