Most of us cling to some small part of our lives and think that through this part we will discover the whole. With the help of a spoke, we hope to understand the design of the wheel, but is this possible? We live each in our own world, paint pictures on small canvases, thinking that we were able to capture the essence of life and understand its meaning. But it doesn’t work out that way. In order to understand it, you need to go outside. And to see everything as it is, without judgment, without censure, without the statement "I like it, but I don't like it." Life is much more multifaceted, and it is sometimes possible to recognize the causes and consequences of many events only after many years.
Life is an unusual secret, and it is impossible to understand its essence from books, no matter how much you read wise folios or sacred texts. Each time, one has to comprehend life on one’s own experience, which is why it is so important to go beyond the limits of a part: one’s home, one’s office, one’s circle of friends, one’s religion, one’s own country. But this is difficult to do if you don’t have love - just love for people, animals, trees, flowers, your parents, your country. Love is not property and not possession.
Love is a state, a way of thinking. And she is not at all sentimental and emotional, as many believe. But without this state, we will never feel the fullness of life.
Why all this, you ask? 2016 is coming to an end. Perhaps for many it was not too easy, as is usually the case in leap years. I hope that next year will be full of love and joy for you. For our part, we will continue to do our best to reveal to you a small part of the joyful and interesting life of the United Arab Emirates. Who knows, perhaps this is the part that will inspire you to study something more, something that will change your life and bring to it that very fullness of perception.
