The Dubai International Film Festival has announced the project The Reel Dubai - a competition whose winner will be able to make a film about real Dubai. All that is needed is to come up with the idea of a short film about the city and send the script to the jury. The competition is held with the participation of Samsung and the Dubai Tourism Department and is designed to reflect the ambitions of the #MyDubai initiative, which aims to show the real Dubai hiding behind the facade of luxury hotels and fantastic skyscrapers.
