DUBAI TRAFFIC POLICE HAS THE FASTEST AUTO PARK IN THE WORLD. FIRST WAS LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR. THEN ROWS COMPLETED FERRARI FF, ASTON MARTIN ONE-77, BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT AND OTHER - THE FASTEST AND MOST FAST MODELS. TODAY A TEAM OF 14-TI "BOLD" BRAVO PATROLES THE TOURIST ZONES OF THE BEAUTIFUL EMIRATE.

A special program designed to provide law enforcement forces with the most technically advanced traffic police started in the Emirates more than a year ago. The first stages of its implementation caused a stir in the world press. Everything, from solid financial publications to car magazines, vied to list the virtues of new cars in the garage of the Dubai police.

This fleet was even called the “armada”: apparently, for the combined power of the engines, which makes honor a good tank brigade.

Dubai tourist police came to taste. The collection of green and white patrol cars, which honors any collection of Forbes list leaders, has cars for all occasions: two-seater and four-seater (and sometimes even four-door) coupes, four-wheel drive and SUVs.

Almost no major exhibition in the emirate is complete without the premiere of a new fighter in the supercar team. However, first they appear on social networks. You probably remember with what enthusiasm all the “followers” met the McLaren MP412C: an expensive purchase was a gift on the occasion of winning the competition for the world exhibition “Expo 2020”. At the Dubai Motor Show in 2013, Audi R8, Mercedes G in tuning Brabus and Mercedes SL 63, as well as Nissan GTR, were published. In the spring of 2014, it became known that Bugatti Veyron entered the patrol service. But the police took it even further: they took the megacar Koenigsegg One: 1 (though still virtual) into their arms!

There is something to be proud of!

“If you look at the history of the Dubai police, you will find Audi, BMW and Mercedes patrol models there. At one time, they were also considered supercars. Thus, the current replenishment of the fleet is quite normal for us, there’s nothing supernatural,” says Colonel Muhammed Al Muheiri, Head of the Department of Tourist Security, Dubai Police.

When the police took the first in the Lamborghini Aventador collection and brought it to the streets of the emirate, the public reaction was unprecedented. And this idea met much more admiration than unfair criticism. Everyone knows the continuation of the story: today the expensive "super fleet" already consists of 14 models. And this, of course, is not the limit.

At first, you might think that the task of a supercar is to detain offenders who move at no less speed, given the rapidly growing number of luxury cars, whose speed sometimes exceeds 400 km / h. However, this is not entirely true. “Of course, our officers, drivers and navigators of supercars react to disturbances in public order and speeding. But our task is not only to write a fine.

Our goal is to change our attitude! The officers know how to find an approach to drivers, tourists, give the necessary advice on how to respond in a timely and competent manner. Therefore, they become a magnet for tourists: everyone wants to come up, chat and take pictures. We have become Dubai’s mobile tourist attraction: the city is growing and we are moving at the same pace with it, "says Colonel Al Muheiri.

Therefore, police supercars do not book. Cameras, on-board computers, flashing lights, and a few more details hidden in the cabin from prying eyes - in fact, this is all that distinguishes a fashionable patrol car from others in the line. However, the department’s greatest pride is a detachment of brave officers, who undoubtedly deserve their steel horses.

OVER THE LAW AND ORDER IN DUBAI, THE FLEET OF THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS CARS

Brabus g63

A unique example of doubletuning the good old "Gelendvagen." First, this Mercedes-Benz SUV was manually assembled in the AMG “court” tuning studio, and then “pumped with steroids” in the Brabus garage, after which the three-beam star traditionally disappeared from the hood. The power of the V8 biturbo engine has increased from 620 to 690 hp. Acceleration to 100 km / h is 4.9 seconds, which for an SUV with such a mass and drag coefficient seems simply impossible.

McLaren MP4-12C

The cost of the Dubai version is 180 thousand euros.

Ferrari ff

Two letters F in the model index indicate that the car is four-seater and four-wheel drive. For Ferrari, this is a rare enough case, to say the least. Here is installed the largest in the line of the Italian brand naturally aspirated V12 engine with a capacity of 6.3 liters and a capacity of 660 liters. with. The maximum speed of the Ferrari FF is 335 km / h, the cost in the "police" configuration - 260 thousand euros.

“The focus is on personal characteristics: patience, punctuality, responsibility, discipline, and first of all, love for one’s business. It is important for us how police officers look, how they communicate, how well they speak foreign languages, how to smile at tourists - all this plays a big Role: After the interview, they take a supercar management course and receive a certificate.

Today they are already a whole team, and we are constantly looking for new ones. Both men and women are equally. To work on weekends and in the evening, when tourists enjoy exploring Dubai, you need to really love your job, "Al Muheiri said.

“We are proud not only of skyscrapers, but also of our well-trained officers. Maybe tomorrow we will buy other super cars. Dubai will change - and we will change with it. We like to be on top!” Concluded Colonel Al Muheiri.

Bugatti veyron

Another product of gloomy German genius, multiplied by the glory of the legendary Italian car designer Ettore Bugatti. So far, this is the most expensive catch-up of the Dubai police - 1.6 million euros. The W16 engine with four (!) Turbochargers of the authorship of the same doctor Honoris Cause Ferdinand Piha develops a capacity of 1001 liters. with. and accelerates a French-built two-seater mid-engined car to 421 km / h. Only a bullet from a police “magnum” is faster!

For such money - 130 thousand euros - you could buy two BMW M3, but the M6 Gran Coupe has more doors and more power.

Audi R8

The first four-ring mid-engined sports coupe. The car is equipped with all-wheel drive Quattro and a V8 engine with a volume of 4.2 liters and a capacity of 420 liters. with. Accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.6 seconds. The maximum speed is 301 km / h, the price is 110 thousand euros.

Nissan GTR
