Forward of the NHL club “Washington” Russian Alexander Ovechkin has become one of the most influential people in hockey. He took second place in the list of "100 hundred most influential people in hockey" in 2013 according to the American magazine Hockey News.

In 2013, the 28-year-old Russian received Moris Richard Trophy (prize for the best sniper in the NHL regular season, 32 pucks on his account) and Hart Trophy (prize for the most valuable regular player). Each of these prizes went to Ovechkin for the third time. At the moment he has 11 individual NHL awards, which is the best indicator among Russian players.
