Launch of the MOSLER RAPTOR GTR 2012

The American company Mosler, since 1985, has developed and manufactured unique city and racing cars, focusing on lightweight construction technology. A distinctive feature of Mosler cars manufactured was the use of the most durable and expensive materials. For example, the roof structure of a car consisted of up to twenty layers of 3x3 diagonal carbon fiber, creating a structure that proved the superiority of its protection in all crash tests ever carried out by specialists. Yet carbon fiber is five times stronger than steel.

Unfortunately, recently, Mosler, faced with financial problems, has released only one of its latest 2012 Mosler RaptorGTR models. This model combines light weight and high power, achieving the highest power density for cars of this class: 649 hp. / t. Development and testing of cars at the cutting edge of technology is a rather lengthy and costly process. This is the case for champions in the automotive industry. Knowing all the nuances of this process, it becomes clear why this exotic of low-volume hydrocarbon fiber costs more than a million dollars.

The 2012 Mosler RaptorGTR model was developed by Supercar Engineering in collaboration with Mosler and is completely manufactured by Mosler Automotive. Supercar Engineering has developed and retained the rights to the technology used in RaptorGTR. Mosler RaptorGTR was conceived as a new model designed to expand the Mosler lineup. However, macroeconomic conditions, the introduction of new standards for electronic safety systems for small cars manufactured after September 1, 2011, as well as the uncertainties associated with the regulation of the American market, led to the fact that after the release of the first RaptorGTR, the Mosler plant was idle, and then, 25 August 2011 was sold to Supercar Engineering.

Supercar Engineering acquired RaptorGTR from Mosler along with exclusive distribution rights for sales in China and Thailand. As a result of the change of circumstances, only one Raptor was released, SEI is promoting this unique vehicle in China, as well as in Russia, the UAE and the USA. Nominal price US $ 700,000. The interior and exterior can be changed according to the taste of the buyer.
