A community of compatriots from Kyrgyzstan living in the United Arab Emirates, under the name Ala-Too, was created in Dubai.
The decision to organize it was made following a meeting of the national diaspora held on June 11 at the City 312 Oriental Restaurant. It was attended by Kyrgyz citizens employed in various fields of activity, including heads and employees of foreign companies operating in the UAE, private entrepreneurs and students. The chairman of the new community was Kubanychbek Torobaev.
Among the main goals of the new structure is to strengthen the unity of the people of Kyrgyzstan living in the UAE, preserving their identity, traditions and customs; protection of his rights and legitimate interests; creating conditions to meet the cultural, civil, economic and spiritual needs of members of the organization, as well as developing and strengthening multilateral ties between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE. To achieve these goals, Ala-Too will organize business, exhibition and cultural and leisure events, develop relations with state authorities and the media.
