Shoe Mart Celebrates 20th Anniversary

A major retail operator with a wide network of Shoe Mart shoe stores and accessories, celebrated its 20th anniversary in March this year - 20 years since its inception.

The shoe giant opened its first store in March 1990. Currently, there are 27 Shoe Mart stores in the United Arab Emirates, another 88 are located in other countries of the Persian Gulf region, such as Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Oman and Kuwait, and beyond. Of particular note is the fact that the Shoe Mart brand is one of the oldest in the region and has long established itself as a supplier of high-quality shoes, trusted and successful.

Nevertheless, Shoe Mart is not going to stop there and will work on its further development by developing new markets in the Middle East and North Africa region using a franchising system. In order to attract more customers and express gratitude to its regular customers, this year Shoe Mart launches a holiday campaign called “We are 20 (years), and you are 40 (dirhams)” (“Our 20-Your 40”). Its essence is that customers who spent 150 dirhams (US $ 41) in one of the Shoe Mart stores receive a gift voucher worth 40 dirhams (US $ 11).

Throughout its existence, Shoe Mart has created intercompany brands such as Missy, Paprika, Peppermint, Little Missy, Barefeet, Juniors and Duchini, and has become a regional franchise partner for international brands such as Kurt Geiger, Dumond, ECCO, Bata, Pablosky and Bianco .
