Parking in the center of Abu Dhabi from October will be paid

The Abu Dhabi Department of Transport announced a decision for the first time in the UAE capital to pay for the use of municipal parking in the city center, which will be charged from October this year.

At the first stage, payment for the use of municipal parking will be introduced throughout the three major city highways - Hamdan, Al-Salyam and 1 st. Zayeda.

The cost of a parking hour here will be 3 dirhams, as in all other main city streets, where they will start charging by the end of this year. On secondary streets and in side streets, a parking hour will cost 2 dirhams. For residents of central regions, annual parking cards are provided for 800 dirhams for the first car and 1,200 dirhams for the second. The number of cars per apartment will be calculated based on the rental agreement.

To date, more than 75,000 municipal parking spaces are being read in the UAE capital.
