Editor's word

In winter, a real cycle begins in the Emirates: tourists come here, and we are from here. The reason for everything is the upcoming holidays and, of course, the annual Dubai Trade Festival.

We, Russian expatriates, want New Year's Eve snow, Christmas trees, champagne and Olivier salad with the obligatory viewing of the nostalgic movie "Irony of Fate or Enjoy Your Bath". And the traditional Festival among the residents of Dubai with experience is associated only with hours of traffic jams and crowded shopping centers.

And tourists are drawn to exotic, and their holiday under palm trees or under the starry sky of the desert can turn out no worse than the usual drinking of frozen champagne at the New Year tree in the central square of the city to the sound of firecrackers and joyful cries of unfamiliar tipsy fellow citizens. Moreover, the New Year's programs of local hotels are becoming more diverse and rich every year. In Courchevel, all the same, now with poor snow, therefore, our elite has the very place in the Burj Al Arab hotel - at the celebration of Orthodox Christmas in company with Vladimir Spivakov and the Moscow Virtuosi chamber orchestra.

The Dubai Shopping Festival, which has been extended for a whole half a month, will also bring joy to many - with its global sales, performances and the opening of the World Village, where you can find some unique things in the pavilions of different countries, or just have fun with children on the attractions.

In general, the upcoming holiday season looks promising. We thought, and decided that we ourselves are the masters of our mood. If you want a holiday - create it yourself! The idea, of course, is not new, but it warms ... Our magazine, as always, is ready to be your good friend and assistant in the conduct of great holidays and vacations. All you need for this is on the pages of this issue!

Happy new year dear friends! Merry Christmas! I wish you happiness, health, success in implementing the plans and, of course, a wonderful vacation!

Sincerely yours,
