Dubai ruler reaffirmed as world leader

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, received the World Leadership Award from the Arab-American Anti Discrimination Committee (ADC).

Sheikh Mohammed was elected by unanimous decision of the ADC leadership, which is one of the most powerful associations of Arab Americans. According to his representatives, immigrant Arabs greatly appreciate the contribution that the ruler of Dubai has made to strengthening respect for the Arab people through hard work for the development of Dubai, the UAE and the region as a whole.

Awarding took place at the next annual ADC congress. Since the hero of the evening himself could not attend it, a reward on his behalf was received by his wife, Princess Haya bint al Hussein, who was accompanied by the UAE ambassador to the United States, Saker Gobash.

In her gratitude speech, she, in particular, said: "This award belongs to a person who is a true Arab and a messenger of all the children of Arab land in the 21st century. By awarding him, we show our respect to an outstanding statesman, politician, economist, poet and person."
