Dubai's top universities named

Dubai authorities ranked the emirate’s universities and named the best of them.

On July 2, Dubai introduced a new rating system for universities in the emirate that meets international standards. The next day, the Office of Knowledge and Human Development (KHDA) published a rating of educational institutions.

Only three of the 17 branches of international universities participating in the ranking received the maximum number of stars: The University of Manchester Worldwide, London Business School and Heriot-Watt University

Four stars were awarded to S P Jain School of Global Management, Amity University Dubai, Manipal University, Hult International Business School, City University of London, Birla Institute of Technology, University of Bradford and Middlesex University Dubai.

SAE Institute, University of Exeter and Murdoch University Dubai each received three stars. ESMOD French Fashion Institute and Islamic Azad University were awarded two stars.

University with the worst ranking - Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology.
