In total, over 70 evening and everyday toilets, made of velvet, chiffon, silk and French lace, with elements of embroidery in oriental style, decorated with semiprecious stones and crystals, were demonstrated.
"The natural beauty and grace of oriental women inspires us to create works of art by Firdaws. I am sure that the show in Dubai is the first step towards conquering the fashion world in the Middle East," said Ms. Medni Kadyrova.
According to designers, Chechen fashion is now approaching European, which is why among Muslim outfits one could see fitted dresses of a tight-fitting cut. These clothes are currently available only in boutiques in Grozny, but Firdaws Fashion House plans to open stores in other countries, including Dubai.
According to the designer Zaur Mammadov, this show is the first for fashion designers outside of Russia, but in the near future they are going to arrange a similar show in the capital of Saudi Arabia. "I am amazed at the variety of fabrics and patterns. But what impressed me most was the fact that the girls on the catwalk show not themselves, but just Muslim fashion," said the famous Lebanese couturier Zahir Murad, who visited the show. The deeper understanding and appreciation of the culture and mentality of the Chechen people was made possible by the brilliant performances of the Vainakh National State Ensemble, which is the cradle of the talents of the dance art of the Chechen Republic, and the national artist of Chechnya, singer Makka Mezhieva. The culmination of the show was a vivid performance of the famous Lebanese singer Najva Karam and festive fireworks.
The Firdaws fashion house, whose name means "Gardens of Paradise", was founded in Grozny in October 2009 by the first lady of the Chechen Republic, Medni Kadyrova, and became the first national fashion brand in the region that matches the mentality of the people and the national traditions of the Caucasian costume. In 2011, in Moscow, the Firdaws Fashion House won the Grand Prix of the International Fashion Designer Contest "Couturier of the Year".
