Dubai's new low-cost airline sells tickets at half price

Dubai's new low-cost airline flydubai has reduced its already low prices by 50%, offering flights from $ 45 one way. The airline flydubai, which began operating on June 1 of this year, offers 50% discounts in all its directions, with the exception of Syrian Aleppo. From June 22 to September 14 at a price of $ 45 in one direction, Boeing flydubai will be able to fly from Dubai to Beirut, Amman, Damascus and Alexandria.

According to Gate Al-Gate, chairman of the flydubai board of directors, switching to a sale mode within three weeks from the start of flights is part of the company's strategy to provide high-quality and low-cost air travel. He emphasized that the sale was not related to a worldwide drop in demand for flights. “In the three weeks of our work, we have done more than we planned: flydubai is more popular than expected. Therefore, we simply continue to follow our chosen strategy, which has proved its effectiveness,” he told reporters at a press conference.

Other UAE airlines also offer summer discounts. The low cost airline, Air Arabia, from Sharjah offers discounts on flights to the region. According to the representative of Air Arabia, things are going well with the airline, despite the appearance of a competitor in the face of Dubai's flydubai: Air Arabia has up to 81% of the occupancy rate, which is only a few percent lower than last year.
