Last year, the inbound tourist flow in Dubai grew by 6% and reached 15.8 million guests.
Dubai, UAE. The number of international tourists visiting Dubai in 2017 amounted to 15.8 million people. Compared with the previous year, the inbound tourist flow grew by 6.2% - thus, Dubai continues to move towards the cherished goal - “20 million tourists by 2020”.
Most tourists in Dubai arrived, as in previous years, from India, Saudi Arabia and the UK: 2 million, 1.53 million and 1.27 million, respectively. It should be noted that the number of tourists from Russia, against the background of visa cancellation, increased by 121% last year! and reached 530 thousand people. This is the highest percentage of all tourist destinations noted in the statistics of Dubai.
It should be noted that in 2017 Dubai strengthened its position as a major center of family tourism. In particular, such large amusement parks as IMG World of Adventures and Dubai Parks and Resorts were opened.
