In the United Arab Emirates, five stars were given to the historic hotel after renovation

The metropolitan hotel in the United Arab Emirates was recognized as a five-star after renovation.

The Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority reassigned the status of the five-star Le Méridien Abu Dhabi Hotel after renovation.

Le Méridien is one of the first city resorts in Abu Dhabi. It was opened in 1979 by the late Sheikh Zayed and Queen Elizabeth II.

The operator Abu Dhabi National Hotels completed a major overhaul, which included the reconstruction of all 248 rooms, apartments and other premises.

During the reconstruction, the hotel was equipped with the Le Méridien Hub, a modern lobby where guests can gather in a comfortable setting.

"Our strategy has always been to rebuild and modernize existing hotels. I am pleased to see the results of the comprehensive reconstruction of Le Méridien Abu Dhabi," said Khalid Anib, CEO of Abu Dhabi National Hotels.
