The Galleria shopping center on the capital island of Al Maryah has already managed to earn fame as one of the most beautiful places in Abu Dhabi. However, few people know that the center is covered by an unusual roof - the latest development of an international team of designers, worth $ 25 million. Framing the main entrance, the embossed roof extends over the main hall and passes into the horizon line, a view of which opens from the mainland of AbuDhabi.
The idea of creating an architectural creation belongs to RFR engineers who previously developed projects such as the inverted pyramid of the Louvre in Paris. Made of glass and steel, the roof consists of three layers that protect the building, including from high temperatures. Aesthetically pleasing look is complemented by skillfully located insulating joints disguised as a designer highlight, and the sand color of the roof successfully harmonizes with the environment, creating, in particular, a magical aura at night.
