Futuristic capsules go between Dubai skyscrapers

Several important points of Dubai will be connected by the transport system of the future.

On April 30, 2019, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, approved a number of ambitious projects by the Dubai Highway and Transportation Authority (RTA).

One of them was the SkyWay project. This is a 15-kilometer city rail system that will transport passengers between the skyscrapers of Dubai in capsules. It will connect such important points of the city as Dubai Financial Center, Downtown and Business Bay.

The project involves the construction of 21 stations and supports a throughput of 8.4 thousand passengers per hour in each direction.

Sheikh Mohammed also approved the project of "Heavenly Garden" at an altitude of 60 meters.
